Ways to Connect, Grow & Serve
The ministry to women at East Hills & The Grove has many facets described below. Events associated with these components can be found on the main Women's Ministry page.
Bible Studies & Change Groups
With our personal relationships with Christ as our primary focus, spiritual growth is encouraged throughout the year through various community groups and local, one-day retreats.
Bible Studies: Mid-day or evening Bible studies are coordinated at different times during the year to foster relationships and learning together.
Change Groups: Women only groups, like Genesis, Betrayed Hearts, and 8 Pillars to Freedom, provide an opportunity to process the difficult issues we encounter in life, in a safe, confidential, small group setting facilitated by a capable leader. To find help and healing through one of these groups, contact Judi Wright.
SMaRT (Supporting Moms who are Raising Teenagers): Raising a teenager is a challenging rollercoaster of beautiful moments, heartbreak, and hard conversations. Moms of teens meet twice monthly in a caring, supportive environment to help with each person's unique challenges.
Soul Care Day: Be still and know that He is God by setting aside a day to bask in God's presence, free from worldly distractions, and receive His rest.
Fairy Grandmothers are volunteers who joyously work behind the scenes to welcome the youngest additions to our church by blessing them with adorable handmade and prayed over blanket sets. We bless those in our church who are sick, injured, and new Foster children with a beautiful handmade pillowcase.
Great Commission Women (GCW)
The team coordinating Great Commission Women (missions) strives to increase awareness for local missions and Alliance international workers through special events during the year, often featuring a visiting international worker. This team also keeps our local church linked to the opportunities available for women through our denomination’s Alliance Northwest district office. Click here to find out more!
"Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" Activities
Spending social time through shared interests fosters our relationships, so we gather regularly for crafting, Bunco, exercising, summer park days, and other fun activities.
Fabulous meals or organized potlucks at church events are prepared by this hard-working team! New helpers who love serving in event planning, hospitality, and/or other meal preparation are always welcome. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to get involved.
Our annual fall women’s retreat provides an opportunity for us to get away for time with God and fellowship with each other. We share times of worship and Bible-based learning from an inspirational speaker, enjoy meals together, build relationships during afternoon free time through crafting, shopping, and/or outdoor activities, and of course there’s time for evening games and late-night talks! For women who prefer an opportunity for quiet retreat, there are opportunities to break away alone to rejuvenate yourself and find rest with God. Retreat is a highlight of our year and offers something for every woman who participates!
