What's new at East Hills
Prayer and Worship Night
Prayer and worship are important to us. Join us Sunday night as we enter into the season of Lent with an evening of worship and prayer. Lent is the season rooted in historical church life for fasting, prayer, and intentional heart preparation leading up to Resurrection Sunday (Easter). We follow the example of Jesus, who fasted and prayed in the wilderness for 40 days and nights, during the 40 days of lent. Consider giving something up and praying for something MORE from God in your life. Join us for the worship gathering at East Hills, February 18, 6-7:30p. Childcare provided.
East Hills and The Grove have a great opportunity to serve our local community with Christ’s love. The Boulevard is a Longview after-school program that meets across the street from The Grove. They have requested that we help them put on an open house event on Tuesday, February 27 from 6-7:30p. If you are willing to provide a slow-cooker meal, bread, beverages, or donated board games to encourage families to spend time together (and if possible serve on site and connect with families), that would be excellent. Contact Erin Lee to volunteer or for more info: 360.431.8708.
Our next Men’s breakfast will be Saturday February 24, 8a, East Hills Community Room. Mark Shady, missionary to Bosnia, will be with us for the weekend and we will be blessed with a devotional word from him.
